John Calvin Commentary Hosea 10:12

"Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness; break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek Jehovah, till he come and rain righteousness upon you." — Hosea 10:12 (ASV)

Here he exhorts the Israelites to repentance, though it seems not to be a simple and mere exhortation, but rather a protestation, as though the Lord had said that he had until now labored in vain concerning the people of Israel, because they had always remained obstinate.
