SCRIPTURE

"the oxen likewise and the young asses that till the ground shall eat savory provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork." — Isaiah 30:24 (ASV)

Your oxen also. When He promises that the oxen and the donkeys will eat abundant and clean feed, this is a repetition and confirmation of what was stated in the preceding verse. This passage is taken from the Law (Deuteronomy 28:11) and is gladly and frequently quoted by the prophets, so that we may learn to discern God's indignation in the sickness and death of cattle, and to desire more earnestly to be reconciled to Him, so that our houses may be filled with His goodness.
