John Calvin Commentary Jeremiah 25:21

"Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;" — Jeremiah 25:21 (ASV)

The same words are always to be repeated: that Jeremiah made all these nations drink the cup. He mentions the Idumeans, the posterity of Esau, and also the Moabites, the descendants of Lot, as were the Ammonites also. There was a relationship between these three nations and the Israelites; therefore, the Prophet seems to have intentionally connected these three nations. He adds—
