SCRIPTURE

"And they went to the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks." — 1 Chronicles 4:39 (ASV)

And they went to the entrance of Gedor
There was a city of this name in the tribe of Judah, (1 Chronicles 4:18) but this seems to be further off, and perhaps is the same with Gedaris, mentioned by Strabo


even unto the east side of the valley ;
which was near to Gedor, and a suitable place:

to seek pasture for their flocks ;
their sheep and goats.
