"Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead." — 1 Kings 15:28 (ASV)
Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah Baasha slew
him, and reigned in his place. Which seems to be his only or chief view in slaying him, to get possession of his kingdom.
