John Gill Commentary 2 Chronicles 2:16

"and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need; and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem." — 2 Chronicles 2:16 (ASV)

And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you will need Both cedar and fir, (1 Kings 5:8 1 Kings 5:10),

and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; a port in the Mediterranean sea, the same that Jonah went down to, (See Gill on 1 Kings 5:9),

and you shall carry it up to Jerusalem; in land carriages, about forty miles off.
