"Heleb the son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin," — 2 Samuel 23:29 (ASV)

Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite Called Heled, (1 Chronicles 11:30) (27:15).

Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin sometimes called Gibeah of Benjamin, (Judges 20:10) (1 Samuel 13:2 1 Samuel 13:15 1 Samuel 13:16) (14:16), and Gibeah of Saul, (1 Samuel 11:4) (15:34) (2 Samuel 21:6) (Isaiah 10:29), being a city in the tribe of Benjamin, and the birth place of Saul king of Israel; and this man is distinguished hereby from Ittai the Gittite, (2 Samuel 15:19).
