SCRIPTURE

"And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:" — Deuteronomy 28:45 (ASV)

Moreover, all these curses shall come upon you
Before related, as well as what follow:

and shall pursue you, and overtake you till you be destroyed ;
which though they would endeavour to flee from and escape, should not be able, since they would follow them so closely and swiftly, and overtake them, and seize upon them; see (Deuteronomy 28:15) ;

because you listened not unto the voice of the Lord your God, to
keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you ;
to which disobedience all the curses are to be imputed that go before or follow after.
