John Gill Commentary Exodus 2:8

"And Pharaoh`s daughter said to her, Go. And the maiden went and called the child`s mother." — Exodus 2:8 (ASV)

And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, go
She fell in at once with the proposal, being, no doubt, overruled, by the providence of God, to agree to have such a person called:

and the maid went and called the child's mother ;
and her own, whose name was Jochebed the wife of Amram, as observed in (Exodus 2:1) .
