SCRIPTURE

"And thou shalt set the table without the veil, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side." — Exodus 26:35 (ASV)

And thou shalt set the table without the vail
The table of shewbread, of which see (Exodus 25:23–30) , this was not to be within the vail, but without it, in the holy place: and the candlestick opposite the table, of which see (Exodus 25:31) signifying, that in the church of God, in the present state of things, which the holy place was an emblem of, there are both food and light: the candlestick was placed

on the side of the tabernacle, toward the south ;
according to Jarchi, two cubits and a half from the side of it:

and thou shalt put the table on the north side ;
of the tabernacle, directly opposite the candlestick, two cubits and a half from the south side, as the same writer says;
