"And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels." — Exodus 38:29 (ASV)

And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand four hundred shekels. Which, according to Paris weight, were 6177 pounds, ten ounces, two drachms, and sixty four grains ^F23: this might be had from the neighbouring mountains of Arabia, where it is said ^F24 the metals of brass and iron were first dug.
