John Gill Commentary

John Gill Commentary
"This [city] shall not be your caldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst thereof; I will judge you in the border of Israel;" — Ezekiel 11:11 (ASV)
This [city] shall not be your cauldron
It was one, as in (Ezekiel 11:7) ; but not theirs; it was the cauldron for the slain, for the dead, but not the living: neither shall you be the flesh in the midst of it ;
or, "and you shall be"
``but you shall be in the midst of it, as flesh that is boiled in the midst of a pot:'' [but] I will judge you in the border of Israel ;
this is repeated, that they might take notice of it, and to assure them that so it would be.
