John Gill Commentary Ezekiel 43:24

"And thou shalt bring them near before Jehovah, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt-offering unto Jehovah." — Ezekiel 43:24 (ASV)

And you shall offer them before the Lord
Upon the altar of burnt offering, which stood before the house or temple where Jehovah dwelt, (Ezekiel 40:47) : and the priests shall cast salt upon them ;
which was to be used in all sacrifices under the law, (Leviticus 2:13) , this may denote the savoury doctrines and lives of the ministers of the Gospel, who thereby recommend the truths they deliver, concerning a crucified Christ, his blood, righteousness, and sacrifice, to others; see (Matthew 5:13) : and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the Lord ;
throughout the whole seven days of the consecration and cleansing of the altar, as follows:
