John Gill Commentary Judges 18:13

"And they passed thence unto the hill-country of Ephraim, and came unto the house of Micah." — Judges 18:13 (ASV)

And they passed thence to Mount Ephraim
Steering their coast still northward; this, according to Bunting ^F2 , was eight miles from Kirjathjearim, or Mahanehdan, in which Micah's house was, for as yet they were not come to it, see (Judges 18:15) .
