John Gill Commentary Leviticus 1:10

"And if his oblation be of the flock, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt-offering; he shall offer it a male without blemish." — Leviticus 1:10 (ASV)

And if his offering be of the flocks
As it might be:

[namely], of the sheep, or of the goats for a burnt sacrifice ;
which were both typical of Christ, (See Gill on Leviticus 1:2)

he shall bring it a male without blemish; (See Gill on Leviticus 1:3).
