John Gill Commentary Leviticus 4:33

"And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin-offering, and kill it for a sin-offering in the place where they kill the burnt-offering." — Leviticus 4:33 (ASV)

He shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, &c.] On the head of the lamb, as on the head of the goat, even his right hand, as the above Targum, as before:

and slay it for a sin offering, in the place where they kill the burnt offering: and if it was not slain for a sin offering, but for something else, or on any other account, as for a burnt offering, it was not right ^F17.
