John Gill Commentary Luke 10:11

"Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, we wipe off against you: nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh." — Luke 10:11 (ASV)

Even the very dust of your city, which cleaves on us
The Syriac version adds, "to our feet"; and so in Beza's most ancient copy, and the Arabic and Persic versions read, "which cleaves to our feet"; which agrees with (Matthew 10:14) (Mark 6:11) .

we do wipe against you :
for a testimony against them, that they had been with them, and were rejected by them; (See Gill on Matthew 10:14) (See Gill on Mark 6:11)

notwithstanding be sure of this ;
they might assure themselves of this, and which will be an aggravation of their guilt, and increase their punishment another day:

that the kingdom of God has come nigh unto you ;
was at their very doors, since the ministers of it, of the Gospel dispensation, the harbingers of the Messiah, who were sent to publish his Gospel, to proclaim him as king, and declare that his kingdom was at hand, had been with them, and they had despised them.
