John Gill Commentary Luke 18:42

"And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight; thy faith hath made thee whole." — Luke 18:42 (ASV)

And Jesus said to him, receive your sight
Be it to you as you desire, look up and see: thus by a word speaking, and power going along with it, without making use of any means, he fulfilled his desire.

Your faith has saved you ;
or has obtained salvation for you, a temporal salvation; and it may be also a spiritual and an eternal one: for that is the concern faith has in salvation; it is the means of obtaining and enjoying it: Christ, the object of faith, is the author of it.
