"And there come near unto him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying unto him, Teacher, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall ask of thee." — Mark 10:35 (ASV)
And James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him ,
&c.] Along with their mother, who was their mouth, and spoke for them, and they by her:
saying, master, we would that you should do for us whatever we
shall desire :
that is, we earnestly desire, that whereas we have a favour to ask of you, that you would not deny us it, be it what it will; (See Gill on Matthew 20:20).
