"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a robber, with swords and staves to seize me?" — Mark 14:48 (ASV)

And Jesus answered and said to them
To the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, that came with the band and officers, as appears from (Luke 22:52) . The Persic version reads, "to the multitude":

are you come out as against a thief, with swords and with staves,
