SCRIPTURE

"The rich man`s wealth is his strong city: The destruction of the poor is their poverty. The labor of the righteous [tendeth] to life; The increase of the wicked, to sin." — Proverbs 10:15-16 (ASV)

The sincere soul falls as a traveler may, by stumbling over some stone in his path, but gets up and goes on his way with more care and speed. This is to be understood as referring more to falls into affliction than to falls into actual sin.

The contentions of a neighbour may be like a sharp shower, troublesome for a time; the contentions of a wife are like constant rain.
