"He is in the way of life that heedeth correction; But he that forsaketh reproof erreth." — Proverbs 10:17 (ASV)
The murderer shall be haunted with terrors. None shall desire to save him from deserved punishment, nor pity him.
Children must not be allowed to go without rebuke when they do wrong.
The traveler who has missed his way, and cannot bear to be told of it, and to be shown the right way, must still err.
A life of worldly pleasure brings ruin on people.
God has chosen the poor of this world, to be rich in faith, and heirs of his kingdom.
No change of outward circumstances should lessen our affection for our friends or relatives. But no friend, except Christ, deserves unlimited confidence. In Him this text received, and still receives, its most glorious fulfilment.

A sincerely religious man keeps at a distance from every appearance of evil. Happy is the man who walks in Christ, and is led by the Spirit of Christ.
