Matthew Henry Commentary Proverbs 10:17-18

"He is in the way of life that heedeth correction; But he that forsaketh reproof erreth. He that hideth hatred is of lying lips; And he that uttereth a slander is a fool." — Proverbs 10:17-18 (ASV)

The pleasure we are inclined to take in the troubles of an enemy is forbidden.

The believer's expectation shall not be disappointed; the end of his trials and of the sinner's prosperity is at hand.
