SCRIPTURE

"Jehovah will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish; But he thrusteth away the desire of the wicked. He becometh poor that worketh with a slack hand; But the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; [But] he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. Blessings are upon the head of the righteous; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked." — Proverbs 10:3-6 (ASV)

Piety and prudence in outward affairs both go together to complete a wise person. By knowledge, the soul is filled with the graces and comforts of the Spirit, those precious and pleasant riches. The human spirit is strengthened for spiritual work and spiritual warfare, by true wisdom.
