Matthew Henry Commentary Proverbs 10:8-9

"The wise in heart will receive commandments; But a prating fool shall fall. He that walketh uprightly walketh surely; But he that perverteth his ways shall be known." — Proverbs 10:8-9 (ASV)

The wicked put other things instead of Christ's atonement, or in place of holy obedience. Praying graces are his gift, and the work of his Spirit, with which he is well pleased.
