Matthew Henry Commentary

Matthew Henry Commentary
"Oh give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known among the peoples his doings. Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvelous works. Glory ye in his holy name: Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah. Seek ye Jehovah and his strength; Seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth, O ye seed of Abraham his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is Jehovah our God: His judgments are in all the earth." — Psalms 105:1-7 (ASV)
Our devotion is here stirred up, that we may stir ourselves up to praise God. Seek his strength; that is, his grace; the strength of his Spirit to work in us what is good, which we cannot do except by strength derived from him, for which he must be sought. Seek his favor for eternity; therefore, continue seeking it while living in this world; for he will not only be found, but he will reward those who diligently seek him.
