Thomas Aquinas Commentary Jeremiah 26:1

"In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word from Jehovah, saying," — Jeremiah 26:1 (ASV)

1. This section describes the conspiracy of the princes against the prophet.

It is divided into three parts:

1. The title.
2. The prophecy, at thus says the Lord (Jeremiah 26:2).
3. The epilogue, at in the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim (Jeremiah 27:1).

The title is self-explanatory.
