Thomas Aquinas Commentary Jeremiah 36:26

"And the king commanded Jerahmeel the king`s son, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet; but Jehovah hid them." — Jeremiah 36:26 (ASV)

Here, the persecution of the authors is described:

1. The wicked command: to seize.
2. The help of God: but the Lord had hidden them, so that they could not be found. The Lord has kept all their bones, that not one of them should be broken (Psalms 33:21).
