O child of God, “why weepest thou?” The Lord’s not dead, but risen; The mighty stone is rolled away From death’s cold gloomy prison.

List, how He calls thee by thy name! Behold the empty prison! Run! take the tidings to all men— The Lord, the Lord “is risen.”

Away with fear! Away with doubt! Go, sound the tidings all about! Death and the grave are put to out; We have a living Saviour.
