A Psalm of David

Primary Scripture: Psalm 8
Verse 1
O Lord, our Lord, in all the earth how does thy name excel! Who high above the heavens hast set thy majesty to dwell.
Verse 2
From mouths of babes and sucklings thou dost power and praise ordain; That thou mayst still thine enemies, and spiteful foes restrain.
Verse 3
When I thy glorious heavens behold, thy fingers work divine, The moon and stars which thou hast set in order as they shine;
Verse 4
O what is wretched man that thou shouldst have him in thy mind, And Adam's son, that thou shouldst be to visit him so kind?
Verse 5
For than the Angels thou hast him but little lower made; With glory and with majesty thou crowned hast his head.
Verse 6
To Him dominion Thou hast given over thy works below; Under his feet hast put them all, to him hast made them bow.
Verse 7
Both all the tamer flocks and herds, wild beasts that range more free,
Verse 8
Swift in the air the fowls that fly, and fishes of the sea.
Verse 9
Yea those that make great paths along the sea, and pass the same O LORD, our Lord, in all the earth, how excellent thy name!
