After Thy Grace

Verse 1

After Thy grace, O Lord, I press, Persistent ev'ry day, I would be filled with righteousness; Help me, my King, I pray.

Verse 2

Of strength divine I would take hold, And live in highest peace; Approach with love and faith so bold, Unto Thy throne of grace.

Verse 3

Awake within me newer zeal, To seek Thee ev'ry hour, And let my sluggish spirit feel The quick'ning of Thy pow'r.

Verse 4

Give me not up to mine own heart, Baptize my soul in Thee, Let me in Christ secure apart, And in Him happy be.
