Already Condemned

Verse 1

God so loved the world, that in mercy He gave His son as a ransom, lost sinners to save; O thou who hast never believed on His name, Remember the truth that the Scriptures proclaim:

Condemned! Condemned! already condemned! On Jesus, the Saviour, thou hast not believed; Condemn'd! condemn'd! already condemn'd! The life that He offers thou hast not received.

Verse 2

Already condemned in the sight of the Lord, Because thou art turning away from His word; Thou choosest the evil, rejectest the right; Thou lovest the darkness far better than light.

Verse 3

Already condemned; unbeliever thou art; O think what a sentence hangs over thy heart; Yet why wilt thou perish when thou canst be free? If thou wilt accept it there's pardon for thee.

Verse 4

Already condemned; wilt thou turn from thy sin? Then yield to the Spirit now pleading within; Thro' faith and repentance give Jesus thy heart; Delay not a moment, but come as thou art.
