At Jesus' Feet

Nothing doth so rejoice the heart, Nothing doth such a strength impart, Nothing doth prove so good a rod, As Thy pure word of truth, O God.

Begotten by that word in Thee, Kept by its pow'r by it made free, We gladly come again to hear Its sacred sound, preach'd in Thy fear.

May each all malice lay apart And with a simple childlike heart In meekness her th'engrafted word, Which saves our souls in Thee, O Lord.

How precious is the time when we, In Christ's pure blood from sin made free, The sons of God, together meet, To sit and learn at Jesus' feet.
