Be Perfect

Verse 1

Be perfect, O believing one, For so Thy Lord commands, And when thou bowest at His throne Lift to Him holy hands.

Verse 2

God will unto His saints speak peace, But let them nevermore, To folly turn, but seek for grace To make salvation sure.

Verse 3

Be perfect and the Saviour seek With all thy heart and mind, Be full of love, obedient, meek, Long suffering and kind.

Verse 4

Be perfect, trusting grace complete, A perfect Saviour claim; Live daily at the mercy seat And conquer in His name.

Verse 5

Be perfect, O believing one, Live with the single eye, And when thy work on earth is done There's rest for thee on high.
