Grant me Thy spirit, dear Savior, Fountain of meekness and love; Graciously guide and uphold me, Bring me to mansions above.

Hear Thou my prayer, loving Savior, Closer to Thee would I be; Whatever else Thou denyest, Bring me still closer to Thee.

Give me Thy mind, blessed Savior, Help me to “Walk in the light;” True to all truth ever make me, So shall my pathway be bright.
