Come, blessed Spirit, source of light

Come, Spirit, source of light, Thy grace is unconfined; Dispel the gloomy shades of night, The darkness of the mind.

Verse 2

Now to our eyes display The truth thy words reveal; Cause us to run the heavenly way, Delighting in thy will.

Verse 3

Thy teaching make us know The mysteries of thy love, The vanity of things below, The joy of things above.

Verse 4

While through this maze we stray, Oh, spread thy beams abroad; Disclose the dangers of the way, And guide our steps to God.
