Verse 1

Trust to the Lord to hide thee, Wait on the Lord to guide thee; So shall no ill betide thee, Day by day.

Verse 2

Rise with His fear before thee, Tell of the love He bore thee; Sleep with His shadow o’er thee, Day by day.

Verse 3

Clouds with their silver lining, Sorrow and joy entwining, Thro' them the Lord is shining, Day by day.

Verse 4

Such may be thy surrounding; Still let His praise be sounding, Praise for His grace abounding, Day by day.
