Low in the grave He sleeps, Cold in the tomb; Now o’er my Savior sweeps Death’s sable gloom;

Hark! I hear an angel voice: He is not here, He’s risen. Glory, glory! shout the joyful strain! Christ is risen, evermore to reign! Hallelujah! shout with every breath! Christ has triumphed over death.

Closed are His pilgrim toils, Suffering One; Death now around Him coils, God’s only Son.
