Lo! the strong and mighty passions, Round the sinner sweep; In the path of fierce temptations, Shall he dare to sleep?

’Neath the Rock of Ages hiding, To this covert fly; In the love of Christ abiding, Danger passeth by.

Thro’ the lines of error stalking, Satan finds his way; In the path where he is walking, Shall the sinner stay?
