Forgiveness and Deliverance

Verse 1

My griefs of heart abound, Relieve my sore distress, See my affliction and my pain, Forgive my sinfulness.

Verse 2

Consider Thou my foes, So many and so bold, For cruel is the hatred, Lord, Which they against me hold.

Verse 3

Defend, and keep my soul, From foes deliver me, And let me not be brought to shame: I put my trust in Thee.

Verse 4

Be truth and right my shield, Because I wait for Thee; Thy Church, O God, do Thou redeem From all adversity.
