Primary Scripture: Psalm 4
Verse 1
God of my righteousness to me, while calling, bend thine ear: Thou hast enlarged me when distressed; me pity; hear my prayer.
Verse 2
Ye sons of men, how long will ye my glory villify? How long love vanity will ye? and how long seek a lie. (Selah)
Verse 3
But know, the LORD hath set apart the pious for his own: The LORD will hear me when to him I make my humble moan.
Verse 4
Stand ye in awe, and sin no more; consider seriously, Within your hearts with silence deep, as on your beds ye lie.
Verse 5
The sacrifice of righteousness let freely offered be And therewith place your confidence upon the LORD do ye.
Verse 6
While multitudes inquiring are, who'll cause us good to see? The light, LORD, of thy countenance let on us lifted be.
Verse 7
Thou givest more gladness in my heart than theirs in times wherein Their harvest-corn and their new wine, have much increased been.
Verse 8
In peace with Him I will lie down, and I my sleep will take; For me in confidence to dwell, Thou, LORD, alone dost make.
