God's Conduct to Israel, and the Plagues of Egypt

Verse 1

Give thanks to God, invoke his name, and tell the world his grace; sound through the earth his deeds of fame, that all may seek his face.

Verse 2

Let God alone choose out our way and mark our journeys right, and give a leading cloud by day, a fiery guide by night.

Verse 3

God blessed the race of Abraham, and made the blessing sure. The endless mercies of the Lamb shall prove that grace endures.

Verse 4

Then let the world give up its rage, nor put a church in fear; let lives be lived through every age in the Almighty's care.
