Hear the Call

William F. Sherwin • English

Primary Scripture: Ephesians 6:11

Verse 1

Lo, the day of God is breaking! See the gleaming from afar! Sons of earth from slumber waking, Hail the bright and morning star!

Chorus

Though rejected and denied, Persecuted, crucified, He from the grave arose In triumph o’er His foes! Who shall then deny, His name, or who His pow’r defy? Before Him we adoring fall, And crown Him Lord of all. Behold Him! Though rejected and denied, Persecuted, crucified, He from the grave arose In triumph o’er His foes! Who shall then deny, His name, or who His pow’r defy? Before Him we adoring fall, And crown Him Lord of all.

Verse 2

Conq’ring hosts with banners waving, Sweeping on o’er hill and plain, Ne’er shalt halt till swells the anthem, “Christ o’er all the death doth reign!”
