Homes in Glory

Fanny J. Crosby • English

Primary Scripture: John 14:2

Verse 1

We sing of homes in glory Where flowers immortal bloom;— Beyond the mist and shadow, Beyond the voiceless tomb; We sing of Life’s pure river, That, clear as crystal flows, Where every throb of sorrow Is lulled to sweet repose.

Chorus

We sing of homes in glory, Beyond the radiant skies, Where love abideth ever, And friendship never dies.

Verse 2

We sing of homes in glory Where Jesus is the light, And joy’s eternal morning Shall burst upon our sight; We sing of rest in Heaven, Where toil and pain are o’er, And friends each other greeting, Shall part in tears no more.

Chorus

We sing of homes in glory, Beyond the radiant skies, Where love abideth ever, And friendship never dies.

Verse 3

We sing of homes in glory, Of mansions bright and fair, But what will be our transport When gather’d safely there; O, blessed homes in glory, Beyond the radiant skies, There love abideth ever, And friendship never dies.

Chorus

We sing of homes in glory, Beyond the radiant skies, Where love abideth ever, And friendship never dies.
