I Have Found the Blessing

I have found the “second blessing,” I am happy in the Lord, I have reached the cleansing fountain Thro’ the everlasting Word; I have crossed the river Jordan At the blessed Lord’s command, And I sing the song of triumph In the welcome promised land.

I have found the “second blessing,” I have lost the “carnal mind,” I am free from care and fretting, Doubts and fears are left behind; I am living in the sunlight Of His precious “perfect Love,” And my heart is filled with praises To the blessed One above.

I have found the “second blessing,” I am cleansed from inbred sin, I am crucified with Jesus, And His Spirit dwells within; I am in the land of Canaan Where the golden sunlight falls, “And I sing the song of triumph,” While we’re shouting down the walls.

I have found the “second blessing,” I am filled with perfect Love, I am ready for my mansion, In the blessed home above; I am ready for life’s battle, Or I’m ready to depart, For I’m sanctified and happy, With the Savior in my heart.
