For power to witness for Thee ev'rywhere, I'm waiting, O Lord, for the pow'r; The pow'r of the Spirit to help me in pray'r, I'm waiting, O Lord, for the pow'r. 'Tis promised, O Lord, unto those who believe,– I wait, Lord, in faith till I fully receive; I'm waiting, O Lord, for the pow'r, I'm waiting, O Lord, for the pow'r.

I'm waiting, O Lord, with a longing sincere, I'm waiting, O Lord, for the pow'r; I know Thou art faithful to answer my pray'r, I'm waiting, O Lord, for the pow'r. I plead but the merits of Christ crucified; In Him I am ransomed, for in Him I died; He promised to give me the pow'r, I'm waiting, O Lord, for the pow'r.
