Jesus All the Way
Mary E. Servoss • English
Primary Scripture: Matthew 28:20
Verse 1
'Tis Jesus when the burden'd heart Is sinking 'neath its load; And Jesus when the trembling steps Can hardly keep the road; And Jesus when the sun of joy Has set in sorrow's night, For he alone can soothe the pain, Or guide the steps aright.
Chorus
'Tis Jesus in the morning hours, And Jesus thro' the day, And Jesus in life's eventime, And Jesus all the way.
Verse 2
'Tis Jesus when the infant tongue Can hardly lisp the name, And when the form is bent with age, 'Tis Jesus just the same; For on our way to pastures green, Lest we from him should stray, Our Shepherd walks before his sheep, And leads them all the way.
Chorus
'Tis Jesus in the morning hours, And Jesus thro' the day, And Jesus in life's eventime, And Jesus all the way.
Verse 3
'Tis Jesus for the friendless one, The weary, sad and lone; And Jesus for the sinner's hope To change the heart of stone; And Jesus when the hour has come To cross the silent stream; Then Jesus, Jesus evermore, Shall be our new song's theme.
Chorus
'Tis Jesus in the morning hours, And Jesus thro' the day, And Jesus in life's eventime, And Jesus all the way.
