Jesus is calling, tenderly calling; Sinner, thy Savior now pleads for thee, Standing and knocking, anxiously waiting, Longing to save thee and set thee free.

Prodigal son, thy Father is waiting, Anxious and longing, He will not spurn; He will forgive thee, hasten to welcome— Prodigal sinner, with joy return.

Chiefest of sinners Jesus will welcome, “Be of good cheer,” He will say to thee; He will remove your ev’ry transgression, Blotting them out, and will set thee free.
