Lead us, O Lord, nor let us stray Far from the path of truth away; Speak with the tender Shepherd's voice, Speak, and our aching hearts rejoice.

Lead us, O Lord, our wand'ring feet Stray from the path of peace so sweet; Dim are our eyes, we cannot see; Take Thou our hands, we'll follow Thee.

Lead us, O Lord, for Satan's host Come to the field with frightful boast; Thine is the warfare, soldiers we, Raise Thou the flag, we'll follow Thee.

Verse 4

Lead us, O Lord, nor let us roam Far from the path that guides us home; As from the mount its walls we see, Hold Thou our hands, we'll follow Thee.
