Lord, Where Thou Wilt

Fanny J. Crosby • English

Primary Scripture: Romans 12:2

Verse 1

Lord, where Thou wilt—it matters not to me, If Thou art near, and I can cling to Thee; For I am weak, so weak, I am afraid To take one step without Thy kindly aid.

Chorus

Lead Thou my way, my fainting heart sustain; Lead Thou my way, and make my duty plain; Lead Thou my way, then shall I fear no ill, If Thou, my “Rod and Staff,” art with me still.

Verse 2

Lord, where Thou wilt—it matters not to me, Tho’ skies may frown, and dark my path may be; I am content, since Thou, my Life, my Light, Canst pierce the veil that hangs o’er darkest night.

Chorus

Lead Thou my way, my fainting heart sustain; Lead Thou my way, and make my duty plain; Lead Thou my way, then shall I fear no ill, If Thou, my “Rod and Staff,” art with me still.

Verse 3

Lord, where Thou wilt—it matters not to me, If faith’s clear eye the polar star may see; If I can read my title to a home Where sin and death and night can never come.

Chorus

Lead Thou my way, my fainting heart sustain; Lead Thou my way, and make my duty plain; Lead Thou my way, then shall I fear no ill, If Thou, my “Rod and Staff,” art with me still.
